Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art
Stainless Steel, 12,000 White nodes.
25' x 50'
2007.

Leo Villareal and his team worked alongside Zahner to integrate the light nodes into the stainless steel surface that we provided. Villareal's piece is installed in the entry way soffit. As a viewer approaches, the piece is subtle enough that it goes unnoticed. As the viewer gets closer, it's hard to miss the rapid animation of moving lights. The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art is designed by Kyu Sung Woo, and Zahner's craftsmanship can be seen throughout the museum. To see a video of the project in motion, go to Leo Villareal's website.
