Reilly Hoffman
Kansas City, Kansas
Copper, Steel, Aluminum frame
10' x 10' x 6'
2007;
This project was the result of the 2007 Biennial Sculpture Competition hosted by Zahner® Architectural Metal and The Kansas City Art Institute. The artist constructed a working model which Zahner® engineers scanned and enhanced with Digitally Definition CAD tools, generating the blueprints for its production. Reilly Hoffman worked closely with Zahner to develop the patinas and textures; many of which the artist applied himself.
You can see the framework of the second form, in the background near the light; this is a perfect example of our ZEPPS™ system used on a small scale for an individual work of art.
ZEPPS™ is our patented technology which enables the creation shape or form, also allowing for efficient, accurate and smooth construction of that form.
